ARC and Coronavirus

There's a lot going on right now with events being cancelled and universities moving to online classes.  We know that many of you are concerned about the rapidly developing issues related to the coronavirus outbreak that is causing the disease COVID-19.  We are reaching out to let you know that ARC shares your concern. Our first priority is minimizing risk to our racers and members.  The ARC board has its monthly board meeting last night, and after reviewing the data, our current decision is to stay in a monitor-and-see mode.  Events in March and April are being cancelled, but beyond that, most organizations aren't reacting yet.

So, at present, our plan is to GO AHEAD WITH THE EXTRAVAGANZA IN JULY.    As we get closer to the event, we will re-evaluate the situation.  Most of the current CDC experts think that as flu season departs, so will CV, so by July, we should be fine.  CV may emerge again in the Fall, but that's a separate problem.

We just wanted to proactively let you all know where we stand!

Good luck in the coming month and remember to make informed decisions, act wisely, and of course, wash your hands.
