Why wait?! We've extended the 300 per person price until May 15th.

Includes all the racing, skill sessions, and breakfasts and dinners and swag!

Late price is $325 (after May 15th).   Very late price is $350 after June 1st.

The Extravaganza is a racing and skill-building event.  There are two tracks: a  racing track and a skills track.  You can also mix and match.  Each day will have a skills session and an adventure race.

Racing track

Up to 30 hours of racing around New River Gorge plus opportunities to do some shorter races with novice adventure racers!  Race elements will include some whitewater paddling in duckies (and maybe SUPs) as well as an ascending/rappelling leg.

Skills track

Up to 12 hours of learning plus as much racing and practice as you can fit in! Classes include ascending/rappelling, paddle technique, and of course map/compass navigation.  After each session, there will be a 3-5 hour mini adventure race to practice what you learned.  We will add other sessions if there's interest.

Every evening, we will have dinner together with some fun awards and tale-telling by event participants, and we will have a few computer displays to re-live the day's events (all races will have live/recorded tracking).  We'll also have satellite trackers on people who go out night orienteering, so we can watch them LIVE as they navigate their way to fame and fortune!

It's all going to take place on July 16-18, 2020 at Ace Resort in Oak Hill, WV.

Other Ideas for the Event

Mentoring and Random Pairs Race

If there’s interest, we’ll have a pairs race, where we team up one experienced racer with a newer racer randomly and have a fun 2-4 hour racing event.

Late Night Orienteering

We will have some orienteering courses set up throughout the weekend that you can do whenever you like.

Gear Exchange/Bazaar

If there's interest, we could have a gear exchange/swap.

Vendors/Mountain Bike Demos

This is year one (of what we hope will be many), but we are going to try to get some vendors to come and set up tents on one of the days.

Mountain Bike Skills/Maintenance Clinic and Others

If there's interest, we will add a 4th clinic on mountain biking, or any other topic of interest.
